Sylvania are to launch two brand new European made lamps equivalent to a 35w Halogen with 600 Candela 350 Lumens, and a 50w Halogen with 1000 Candela 450 Lumens. The fully dimmable completely retrofit LED lamps are due to reach the UK market in August 2012. Over the lifetime of the lamps the saving is 700Kwh on the 350 Lumen lamp & 1075KwH on the 450 Lumen version, which, at 12p a unit, equates to £129.00. Not a bad long term investment especially with energy prices rising at the present time!
